It is a distinct honor to work for Vernon and Guilford. As a longtime Guilford resident and former selectboard member, I value engaging with community members on a wide range of topics, listening to people’s stories, and collaborating to get work done. I want to continue working to address issues that affect us all, and I seek to further the legislature’s recent progress on stabilizing taxes, framing realistic education transformation, preserving and protecting our land, securing reasonable housing and development solutions, as we develop a vibrant rural economy while assuring bright future.

Each day in the legislature, work begins with a brief reflective presentation–perhaps a poem, a personal story, or an exhortation. I was deeply inspired by one presentor who offered a quote attributed to Rabbi Tarfon from Pirkei Avot 2:16: It is not your duty to finish the work, but neither are you at liberty to neglect it. These words provide a durable backdrop for the ongoing work.
